Upon being asked, “what issues do you care about most?”, “what do you think the media needs to pay more attention to?”, “What changes do you want to see happen on Cortes Island?”, the Media Insid3out group produced these amazing animated films:
Week 6: Forest Media
Media Insid3out visited the forest owned by Island Timberlands and shot video and took pictures of the incredible ecosystems. Home to Cortes Islands largest remaining intact old growth forest, the youth hope these pictures will inspire you to get involved and help save it. Stay tuned for the film!

REEL YOUTH’s media literacy program, MEDiA iNSID3out puts media production into the hands of Cortes Island youth.In the spring of 2010, Cortes youth produced and distributed their own media though the creation of this blog while exploring photography, writing, video making, audio recording, and spoken word.
Another program is planned for the spring of 2011.
